Excuse me mr radio man looking for a pin up girl for women who have proved they are intelligent and they can do the interesting jobs, but have discovered that looking after children is really the thing after all. Yes, you. Senator Natasha Stott-Despoja did not say she was giving up all else to dedicate her life to her family. I heard her say (using different words of course) that for her, the job she has now is not compatible with the family situation in which she currently finds herself. In addition, she mentioned – and not in passing – that if she did commit to that job again, she would have to commit for a very long time.
That is not all I have to say on the matter, but it is all I have time for now, as I need to try and squeeze some work in before I collect my child from kindergarten.
The philosophy of this blog is generally show don’t tell, but at the moment, I am very, very annoyed with people who seek to interpret events to suit themselves (which, of course, is something I would never do).
